Holly
Richardson, Principal, The Orion Group
For
the past ten years Holly Richardson has been involved in business
development, business financing and facilitating mid-market
mergers and acquisitions. She assisted in the financial restructuring
of a major firm in Upstate New York with HSBC bank and later
became the first woman in a national M&A firm to close a
major mid-market transaction – the largest in the firm’s
history. Her M&A experience includes participating in a
roll-up strategy in power generation equipment market which
ultimately resulted in a $1.5 billion dollar NYSE initial public
offering.
Prior to that, Holly spent 10 years in the
US Navy, serving in a variety of capacities that included establishing
a Naval Medical Command in Wiesbaden Germany to coordinate medical
care for Navy, Marine and US Embassy personnel stationed or
traveling in Europe. During Desert Storm Richardson’s
role expanded to include managing the care of soldiers injured
in the conflict. Richardson served as the Director of Ambulatory
Care Services and later Director of Public Relations for the
Boston VA.
Holly has been active in a wide variety of
charitable projects related to companion animals where she assists
animal shelters, rescue groups develop sustainable fundraising
programs.
Mark Evens, Principal, Mark
One
Evens
built a retained executive search practice serving power generation
equipment manufacturers, independent power producers, regulated
and non-regulated utilities, HVAC, alternate energy companies,
telecommunications, information technology, and EPC firms.
Mark Evens was President, Sales Development
Group - facilitator of strategic media/marketing alliances,
Senior Vice President of Scholastic Corporation responsible
for all private sector funded educational programs grades K-12.
Evens was President of World Wide Golf Inc. manufacturers of
golf driving range equipment. Evens served as Vice President
of LIN Broadcasting as marketing officer responsible for: mergers
& acquisitions, strategic alliances, sales and marketing.
Evens founded Direct Magazine, Sponsorship Marketing Inc. and
Catalog Advertising Sales. Evens managed advertising sales and
marketing staffs at Golf Digest, Woman’s Day and Playboy
Magazines.
Evens serves on the boards of the Mid Fairfield
Chapter of the American Red Cross and Regents Park and founded
the non-for-profit Southern Nevada Inner-City Golf Foundation,
providing college scholarships and community service opportunities
for under privileged youth. Mr. Evens is a graduate of the University
of Illinois and holds advanced management certification from
the University of Virginia School of Business and Harvard Business
School.
Robert Richardson, Associate
Robert
Richardson draws upon over 30 years of experience in planning
and implementing successful human capital, business development
and business value improvement strategies. International companies
such as Deere & Company, Staples, Jean Coutu, and Gillette
have retained his services. Richardson has an extensive research
and development background serving International Merger &Acquisition
and Executive Search Firms.
Richardson served as a regional fund
raising manager for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, initiated
and sponsored Holiday events for local Head Start Programs and
chaired a variety of projects that included securing medical
equipment for local hospitals. Richardson created a program
that provided employment opportunities to senior citizens that
caught the attention of the Associated Press and National Public
Radio, who provided national coverage, which then led to
testifying before the US Senate in support
of employment opportunities for retirees.
Richardson served on active duty with the
US Air Force and with the Air National Guard for over 20 years,
retiring in 1994. During this time he served in many capacities
including squadron commander, procurement officer and retired
as the Comptroller for an F-16 fighter wing. Richardson served
as an advisor to a local Civil Air Patrol squadron and as a
regional admissions officer for the US Air Force Academy.

She is active with the local animal shelter
